Brazen Early Morning Burglaries Hit Two Shops in Wiltshire

At the crack of dawn, four masked men smashed their way into the Co-Op in The Borough, Downton, at 3.40am. Armed with a sledgehammer, they stole tills and a haul of cigarettes before speeding off in a stolen black Audi Q7.

Less than an hour later, the same gang struck again at the BP Service Station in Landford. Using crowbars, they forced open the doors and made off with more cigarettes, another till, and other goods.

Thieves Dressed for the Job

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

DC Ben Brewster: “We want to hear from anyone who spotted the black Audi Q7 around the time of the raids. The roads would’ve been quiet, so that car may have stood out. Any dashcam footage or eyewitness information could be crucial.
