Tragic Cyclist Death on A259 at Pevensey

Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal crash involving a cyclist and a white transit high-top van on the A259 at Pevensey.

Collision Ends Cyclist’s Life at Scene

The fatal smash happened around 10.40am on Saturday, February 5. Emergency crews rushed to the eastbound carriageway of Marsh Road, just after the Pevensey roundabout, but the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road Closed, Drivers Told to Avoid Area

Authorities have shut the road between the Pevensey roundabout and the junction with Top Road at Hooe. It is expected to stay closed for some time. Motorists are urged to find alternative routes.

Police Seek Dashcam Footage and Eyewitnesses

Officers want anyone who saw the collision or the van near the side of the road between 10.30am and 10.50am to come forward. They are especially interested in dashcam videos.
