Man Trapped and Seriously Injured in Sandford Crash

Emergency crews rushed to a crash on the A41 near Sandford, Whitchurch at 10.07pm last night.

Ambulance Service Battles to Free Victim

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma doctor straight to the scene. A spokesman revealed the driver, a man, was seriously injured and trapped inside his car.

“Crews worked closely with the fire service to free the man,” the spokesman said. The victim received specialist trauma care at the scene before being rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Lorry Driver Unharmed

The lorry driver involved was checked over and discharged on the spot.
