Eastleigh Man Busted in Drugs Sting
Police on routine patrol in Eastleigh made a bust yesterday evening after spotting a suspicious man. The 22-year-old from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences.
Strong Stench of Cannabis Tips Off Cops
At around 5.45pm on 28 July, officers noticed the man acting oddly. As he walked past, they caught a strong whiff of cannabis. A search under the Misuse of Drugs Act uncovered a stash of suspected Class A and Class B drugs, cash, and several mobile phones — all seized as evidence.
Accused Assaults Officer During Arrest
The suspect didn’t go quietly. While en route to custody, he reportedly flicked a cigarette at an officer. He now faces an additional charge of assaulting an emergency worker. The man remains in police custody as investigations continue.
