Late-night dog walk turns ugly in Barn Glebe

Just before midnight on Thursday (16/02), a woman walking her dog behind Barn Glebe – near the Farris Way and Oxford Gardens junction – was violently attacked.

The victim confronted another dog walker because his dog wasn’t on a leash. In response, the suspect struck her in the face with an open palm, snatched her phone, and threw it into a nearby hedgerow.

Suspect description and escape

  • White male, between 5ft 8in and 6ft tall
  • Slim, athletic build with crooked teeth and a brown beard
  • Dressed in a cream knitted hat with a logo and a dark zip-up puffer jacket
  • Walking a chocolate Labrador named Harvey

He was seen heading away towards Oxford Gardens before fleeing the scene.

Police seek witnesses and footage

Authorities have a brief clip from a doorbell camera showing the suspect and urgently want anyone who recognises him or has additional footage to come forward.
