On New Year’s Eve at 9:13 PM, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) and Sussex Police sprang into action in response to a fire that broke out in a residential flat at Bedford Towers, Kings Road, Brighton. The incident prompted a swift and robust response from emergency services.

ESFRS swiftly dispatched nine appliances to the scene, which included an aerial ladder, a command unit, and two fire officers, all working diligently to tackle the blaze. The nearby Holiday Inn hotel was temporarily evacuated as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of its guests.
