The crew of the Eastbourne All Weather Lifeboat, aboard ‘Esme Anderson,’ sprang into action following a distress call at 11:38am on Saturday, May 4th. The lifeboat was dispatched to assist a vessel that had lost engine power and was adrift near Pevensey Shoal.

Upon arrival, the volunteer Coxswain quickly assessed the situation and made the critical decision to tow the disabled boat and its occupants to the safety of Sovereign Harbour. This timely intervention underscores the vital role of the RNLI in ensuring the safety of maritime activities in the region.
