Animal Abuser Daniel Williams Jailed for Over Four Years

Daniel Williams, 30, homeless and on the run no more, was slammed with a hefty four years and six months behind bars at Norwich Crown Court on 26 April. He had earlier pleaded guilty to a raft of charges that paint a shocking picture of cruelty and violence.

Shocking Crimes Include Killing a Pet Cat

  • Intentional suffocation – 14 months
  • Electronic communication threats – 10 months + 6 months (consecutive)
  • Two counts of property damage – 1 month each (concurrent)
  • Two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal – 24 months (consecutive) + 24 months (concurrent)

Williams’ vicious spree in 2022 included breaking into a Lowestoft home, where he brutally killed a pet cat and left another so badly injured it had to be put down by vets.

Vandalism and Menacing Messages Added to His Case

His rampage didn’t stop there. Williams smashed windows of a local business and sent chilling messages threatening to assault someone with a baseball bat.

Long-Term Bans: No Animals, No Freedom

Alongside his prison sentence, Williams faces a 10-year ban under Section 34 of the Animal Welfare Act, forbidding him from owning or looking after any animals. He’s also slapped with a 10-year restraining order to keep him off the streets and away from trouble.
