Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Burglary in Southsea

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary that took place in Southsea on the evening of Thursday, 19 September.

At around 10:30 PM, a man entered a house on Percy Road but was disturbed by the occupant while in the kitchen. The intruder, described as tall and muscular with his hood up, fled the scene. At this time, no items have been reported stolen.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen a suspicious man in the Percy Road and Manners Road areas that night, or anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 44240403812. Information can also be submitted online via the Hampshire Police website at the following link: Submit Information.

As the weather remains warm, police are reminding residents to ensure their homes are secure by keeping windows and doors locked, particularly during the evening. Homeowners are also advised to secure back gates and to be especially vigilant if their property backs onto alleyways or areas not covered by CCTV.
