Police Seek Man in Connection with Theft Incident in Eastleigh

Hampshire Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to regarding a theft incident on Winchester Road, Eastleigh, between the junctions of Kings Road and Hillside Close. The incident occurred between 3:45 PM and 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 11, and involved the theft of £1,130 in cash from a found purse.

Officers believe that the man in the CCTV images may be able to assist with their investigation and are urging him, or anyone who can identify him, to come forward.

Police are also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, noticed suspicious activity in the area, or has relevant CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam, or doorbell camera footage, to contact them.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 101 or report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240391315. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting their website at crimestoppers-uk.org.

Police are hoping that public assistance will lead to identifying the man and progressing the investigation into the theft.
