Major Incident Declared After Police Pursuit Ends in Crash Near North Middlesex Hospital

 

The Metropolitan Police has declared a major incident after a high-speed police pursuit took place around 5 am on Monday, October 7th, leaving one person with life-changing injuries. The incident involved three individuals and ended in a collision at the North Middlesex Hospital estate, with part of the vehicle embedding itself in a glass frontage.

Specialists from the Met’s Collision Investigation Unit have been called to the scene to assist with the investigation. Authorities have urged people to avoid the Park Royal area as bus services are being diverted and are unable to access the central Middlesex Hospital area.

Witnesses described the aftermath as chaotic, with red and blue police tape cordoning off the area and speculation about a potential explosion. However, the Metropolitan Police has stated that they are investigating the incident as a car crash.

 

 

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said that they have not treated anyone related to the incident, according to a statement released this morning. Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.

It is understood that the incident has been downgraded to a critical incident this has been unconfirmed.
