Reckless Mercedes Driver Caught Overtaking Dangerously
Elliott Leonard-Diss, from Street End Lane, Heathfield, was caught in the early hours recklessly overtaking and undertaking in his silver Mercedes. Trying to dodge traffic by mounting a layby, he lost control and crashed into a bush, triggering a three-car collision on the A22 Uckfield bypass just after 7 a.m.
Drink and Drug Tests Return Shocking Results
Emergency crews tested Leonard-Diss at the scene. His breathalyser showed 81 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath — over twice the legal limit of 35µg. A blood test also revealed 82µg of benzoylecgonine, a cocaine metabolite.
