Man Charged Following Non-Fatal Stabbing in Shooters Hill

A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Shooters Hill earlier this week.

Charges and Court Appearance

  • Oquaine Simpson, 19, of Dacres Road, SE23, was charged on Thursday, 9 January with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
  • He is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (9 January).

Incident Details

  • The stabbing took place at around 4:20 PM on Monday, 6 January, on Prince Imperial Road, SE18.
  • Officers responded to the scene and found an 18-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.
  • At the time of the attack, the victim was in a life-threatening condition.
  • He has since been stabilized in hospital, with non-life-threatening and non-life-changing injuries.

Further Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

  • A 17-year-old girl was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
  • She has since been bailed pending further investigations.
