Police Appeal for Witnesses After Aggravated Burglary in Corsham

Wiltshire Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Corsham in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred between 12.30am and 1am on Northcroft Road, where a male resident was woken by five masked intruders who entered his room. The suspects physically assaulted the victim before stealing his car keys and other personal belongings.

The victim managed to escape the property while the offenders fled the scene in his black Mercedes, which was later found abandoned in Chippenham.

Police: Incident Believed to Be Targeted

Investigators believe the burglary was a targeted attack, and initial enquiries suggest that some of the offenders may have arrived in a separate vehicle, described as a dark-coloured car, possibly a Nissan Qashqai, which had been parked nearby.

Officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage in the area as part of their investigation.
