Chaos on Crown Street: Serious Crash Brings Dagenham to a Standstill

Emergency crews rushed to a major road smash at the junction of Crown Street and Dagenham Road around 5:30pm on Saturday, 3 May 2025. Reports say several people were trapped in their vehicles following a three-car collision.

Firefighters, Police, and Paramedics Respond

The London Fire Brigade, police officers, and paramedics worked swiftly at the scene. Full road closures were in place near St Giles Avenue, causing massive traffic snarls across the Dagenham area.

Bus Routes Diverted as Traffic Grinds to a Halt

Public transport took a hit too. Route 145 towards Leytonstone was heavily disrupted, with buses forced onto detours through Ballards Road, Rainham Road South, Oxlow Lane, Heathway, and Hedgemans Road.

Roads Restart and Investigation Underway

Siviter Way, also affected by the crash, was finally reopened at 10:27pm after extensive emergency response and cleanup. Authorities have yet to release details on injuries, and the crash investigation continues.
