A huge fire tore through a block of flats on Greystoke Road at 3:12pm on Thursday, 9 October, sparking a massive emergency response.

Blaze Sparks Full-Scale Firefighter Mobilisation

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service scrambled crews from Slough, Langley, Maidenhead, and Windsor. Four officers and an Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood joined the desperate fight to control the flames. Backup teams from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue and the London Fire Brigade also rushed in to help.
