Iraqi Man Busted for Shocking Stratford Sex Attacks
Jowad Haji, 24, was arrested after a string of brutal assaults at a Chapel Street shop in Stratford on January 31. The Coventry resident now faces several serious sexual offence charges.
Serious Sexual Charges—Including Rape
- Rape of a woman aged 16 or over
- Attempted rape of a woman aged 16 or over
- Sexual assault on a female
- Intentional strangulation
Haji was held on Saturday, February 14, and is set to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today.
Police Crack Case After Victim Steps Forward
The assault only came to light when the victim reported it on February 12, nearly two weeks after the attack. Warwickshire Police swiftly launched an investigation, leading to Haji’s arrest and charges.
Officers are urging anyone with additional info to step up and assist the probe.
