A grim incident has unfolded at New Milton railway station where a person has died, British Transport Police confirmed.
Line Blocked Between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst
Officers were called at 11:10am on 5 March following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics attended but sadly, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
National Rail warned that the Weymouth to London Waterloo line is now blocked between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst. South Western Railway expects disruption to last until 3pm as all lines remain closed.
No Suspicion, Coroner Involved
A British Transport Police spokesperson said, “This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
