Tragedy at New Milton Station: Person Dies on Tracks
A grim scene unfolded at New Milton railway station today as British Transport Police confirmed a person has died on the tracks.
Major Disruption Between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst
Officers rushed to the scene at 11:10am on 5 March after reports of a casualty on the railway. Paramedics attended but sadly, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
National Rail reported the Weymouth to London Waterloo line is blocked between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst. South Western Railway warned passengers to expect disruption until at least 3pm, with all lines closed.
No Suspicion as Coroner Launches Investigation
A British Transport Police spokesperson said, “This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
