A 16-year-old boy, Baye Bireme Fall, was fatally stabbed outside the bustling Orton Centre in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, sparking shock and grief across the community.
Four Teens Arrested as Police Launch Murder Probe
Four teenagers were arrested following the brutal attack on Sunday evening, which left Baye fighting for his life. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
Heartbroken Family Pays Moving Tribute
In a touching statement released via police, Baye’s family described him as an “amazing boy and son” with a “pure and kind heart”.
“We are completely shattered and may never recover from the passing away of our son whose life was tragically cut short,” they said. “He was ever so ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.”
Police Appeal for Information
Cambridgeshire Police have launched a full murder investigation, known as Operation Whitby. So far, a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit, urged the public to come forward.
