A 34-year-old man from St Leonards was arrested and sent back to prison after a swift police operation into a residential burglary on Monday 11 May. Sussex Police acted promptly following reports from the Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team, recovering a stolen vehicle and other stolen items linked to the crime.
Rapid Police Action
Within 24 hours of the burglary report, officers identified and located the suspect, leading to his arrest on Tuesday, 12 May. The quick response from Sussex Police is being credited with helping to resolve the case efficiently.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
Investigations revealed that a vehicle reported stolen was part of the burglar’s haul. Alongside the car, several other stolen possessions were recovered during the inquiry.
Licence Breach Leads To Prison
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody at Hastings Police Station. Subsequently, he was recalled to prison until May 2027 for breaching his licence conditions.
