Waleed Saeed, 31, of Ilford, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison following a Metropolitan Police investigation into his extensive sextortion offences targeting young men through Snapchat. Convicted at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 19 June, Saeed faced 17 charges including rape, blackmail, and making indecent images of children. This case highlights the ongoing threat of online sexual exploitation and the police’s efforts to bring offenders to justice.
Multiple Fake Profiles Exposed
Police uncovered that Saeed used several Snapchat usernames such as “blsup” (including variations like blsup1 and blsup2021) and “ComeDeal” (e.g., comedealillstop). He also created false profiles pretending to be transgender women or females, using names like “Trans Girl Leah” and “amzyyyy09” to lure and exploit victims.
Detectives Urge More Victims To
Following the conviction, officers have appealed for any other victims who may not have reported their abuse to step forward. Detectives stressed the importance of support and urged anyone recognising the fake profiles or suspecting contact with Saeed to reach out to the police.
How To Report Suspicious Activity
Anyone who believes they were targeted or has information relevant to the investigation is encouraged to contact the Metropolitan Police through official channels. Reporting helps support survivors and assists ongoing inquiries into online exploitation.
