A major emergency service response was seen outside a Travelodge in Skegness after a car reportedly crashed into the side of the building.

Multiple fire engines, police vehicles and ambulances were seen at the hotel as emergency crews dealt with the incident. An initial local report said little was known about what had happened at the time.

Witnesses commenting from the area reported that a vehicle had gone into the side of the building.

One person said both occupants of the vehicle had managed to get out safely, but claimed the building would need to be made safe following the Collision.

Another local resident described seeing numerous blue lights in the area and said the incident appeared to have happened close to the hotel’s entrance on South Parade.

At this stage, there has been no official confirmation of any injuries or the circumstances leading up to the collision.

Emergency crews remained at the scene while the incident was dealt with and the condition of the building assessed.
