Knife-Wielding Man Sparks Lockdown at Ilford School

Chaos erupted at Park Hill School, Ilford (IG5), on Friday afternoon when a knifeman scaled the fence and ran into the school playground.

The knife-wielding intruder leapt over the school gates but was swiftly detained by armed officers from the Met Police. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the tense incident, which was captured on camera.

Details from the Met Police

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 2.40pm on Friday, 31, to a report of a man with a knife and a person assaulted in Lord Avenue, Ilford.”

“A man was treated at the scene after being bitten on his finger. Officers arrested a suspect on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of cannabis.”

School lockdown was quickly lifted once the situation was under control.
