Man Found Dead in Salisbury Public Toilets – Police Seek Witnesses
Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a man was found dead in public toilets in Salisbury early today.
The ambulance service called police just before 4am on 8th September after discovering the man in Market Place. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim is believed to be in his 20s. Police are working to notify his next of kin.
Death Treated as Unexplained
Detective Inspector Joe Saunders from Salisbury CID said:
“We want to speak to anyone in Market Square between 10pm last night and 3am this morning. If you used the public toilets or were nearby, you could be a vital witness.”
Police Cordon Reduced, Businesses Reopen
Inspector Pete Sparrow of the Salisbury Area Community Policing Team confirmed a large cordon was set up due to the incident. He added:
“We have now significantly reduced the cordon to around the toilets, allowing local businesses to reopen.”
He also thanked the community for their cooperation during the enquiry.
