Two Men Hunt After Woman Raped in Tottenham at 3am
A woman in her 30s was attacked in Tottenham in the early hours of Saturday, 25 June 2022. Around 3am, she was approached by two men on West Green Road. They walked together to Houghton Road, where one man brutally raped her while the other kept watch.
Police Release Suspects’ Images on Crimewatch Live
The chilling assault has now been featured on the BBC’s Crimewatch Live, with police hoping the public can help identify the two men. Detectives have released images and a reconstruction of the incident.
Suspects Description
- Man 1: Possibly Asian or Turkish, about 5ft 8ins, stocky build, thick tidy black beard, non-English accent, wearing a grey hoodie. Reportedly inebriated.
- Man 2: Also possibly Asian or Turkish, slim build, 5ft 8ins tall, oval slim face with short receding hair, light brown short beard, wearing a black jumper. Acted as a lookout during the attack.
Both men were last seen leaving together towards West Green Road.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Sergeant Pembe Rayif from North Area’s Safeguarding Team said:
“This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim and we are doing everything we can to support her and bring the perpetrator to justice. We are very keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images we have released and we would ask anyone who can identify them to come forward.”
The victim is receiving care from specially trained officers, while police continue their investigation.
