Arriving at the scene, Sussex Police spotted two individuals stranded on a wreck, engulfed by water. Coastguards plunged into the sea, secured with tethered lines to reach the trapped pair. The Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat joined the effort, playing a vital role in hauling them safely back to shore.

On land, South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) stood ready to assist the rescued. Back-up came from HM Coastguard Rye Bay and RNLI Rye Harbour Lifeboat Station, making sure the operation ran smoothly and swiftly.
