Shock Five Years On: Teenager Rhyhiem Ainsworth Barton was just 17 when he was gunned down in a chilling drive-by shooting on the evening of Saturday, 5 May 2018.
Family Pleads for Justice
Rhyhiem’s mother broke her silence, saying: “We have endured five years without Rhyhiem and our family has been shattered by his death. Nothing can bring him back, and we are still fighting for justice.”
She added, “My son died needlessly, and I pray no other family suffers like ours.”
Investigation Hits Dead End
Two suspects, aged 17 and 20 at the time, were arrested in June 2018 on suspicion of murder but were later released under investigation. Since then, the case has stalled with no new leads.
