Hit-and-Run Horror in Glasgow: Elderly Woman Struck by Stolen Bike
Glasgow cops are hunting for answers after a serious hit-and-run on Mosspark Drive left a 68-year-old pedestrian badly hurt. The crash happened just before 8pm on New Year’s Eve, between Arbroath Avenue and Tealing Avenue.
Stolen Bike Speeds Off After Collision
The victim was crossing the road when a grey Yamaha MT-07, heading north towards Paisley Road West, smashed into her. The rider then fled the scene towards Tealing Avenue, leaving the woman injured.
Emergency crews rushed her to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she’s now in a serious but stable condition.
Bike Linked to Edinburgh Theft
Police revealed the Yamaha was reported stolen from an Edinburgh address on December 19. This ties the crash to a stolen vehicle, escalating the hunt for the culprit.
