Detectives Vow to Crack Down on Gun Crime

Detective Inspector Chris Clark said: “I hope the arrest of a suspect reassures our communities that we are relentless in our pursuit of those involved in gun crime. A man is now in custody and he will be questioned by detectives about what happened. “While firearm incidents in Merseyside have fallen significantly over the past 15 years, we understand the devastation even a single incident can cause. We will continue to use all available powers to bring those responsible to justice. “Although we have made an arrest, we are still appealing for anyone with information about this incident, or gun crime in their area, to come forward.”

The investigation continues as police urge the public to help stop gun violence in Liverpool’s streets.
