Fatal Stabbing Shakes Wandsworth – Teen Dies, Another Injured
Police are probing a deadly stabbing in Wandsworth after officers stumbled upon a violent brawl on Garratt Lane at 4.58pm last Thursday, 29 October.
Two Teens Found with Knife Wounds
Two 15-year-old boys were discovered near Garratt Lane Burial Ground, both suffering knife injuries. Despite ambulance efforts, one teen sadly died in hospital. His family has been informed, though formal ID and a post-mortem are pending. The second boy remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two Men Arrested as Investigation Intensifies
- A man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He himself had a head injury but did not need hospital treatment.
- Another man was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Both suspects are now in police custody while specialist crime detectives lead the investigation. Wandsworth roads remain closed and a large crime scene is in place.
Police Issue Section 60 Order and Plea for Witnesses
A Section 60 order authorising stop-and-search powers covers the whole of Wandsworth from 5.58pm. Police urge anyone with information, video or images to call 101 quoting CAD 5042/29 Oct.
