Party Police Raid Massive Dover Street Gathering
Officers stormed a Dover Street property just before 1am on Sunday, April 11, to find a raucous crowd ignoring Covid rules. Inside, 34 partygoers were cranking up the music and knocking back drinks.
Heavy Fines for Flouters
All 34 attendees were slapped with fixed penalty notices under Health Protection Regulations. The party’s organiser faced a whopping £10,000 fine for throwing the bash.
Police Warn: Don’t Risk It
Officials urged the public to take Covid restrictions seriously as more rules are set to ease in England.
“As we prepare for more restrictions to be eased in England, it is more important than ever that everybody is following the rules and avoiding unnecessary risks,” a spokesperson said.
“We all have a part to play to ensure the Covid infection rate does not rise again. This type of behaviour risks jeopardising the progress made by the majority who have followed the rules.”
The crackdown sends a clear message: party on, and you’ll pay a heavy price.
