Woman Left Fighting for Life After Lewisham Bus Smash
Deadly Crash on Lewisham High Street
Police are hunting for witnesses after a woman was left fighting for her life in a serious collision with a bus on Lewisham High Street, SE13.
The crash happened at around 8:30pm on Sunday, 3 August, near McDonald’s. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the collision.
A 51-year-old woman suffered critical injuries and was treated on-site before being rushed to hospital. Her condition is now life-threatening. Specialist officers are supporting her family.
The bus driver stayed at the scene and is helping police with enquiries. No arrests have been made.
Police Urge Eyewitnesses to Speak Up
“This was a serious incident leaving a woman in a life-threatening condition,” said Detective Sergeant Rob Groombridge of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit. “We need anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam or mobile footage to come forward. Even the smallest detail could be crucial.”
Police want to hear from pedestrians, cyclists, or drivers in the area between 8:20pm and 8:40pm who witnessed anything.
