Cyclist Dies in Tragic Rocky Lane Smash
Fatal Crash Shuts Road
Police were called to Rocky Lane at 5.40pm on Saturday 17th April 2021 after a cyclist was found lying in the road. Ambulance crews and the air ambulance raced to the scene, but despite their best efforts, the cyclist was pronounced dead on site.
Investigation Underway
Rocky Lane remains closed both ways as officers investigate the fatal incident. It’s not yet clear if other vehicles were involved.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
Authorities are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or spotted a cyclist riding a red and white bike before the accident to come forward.
