A man was stabbed near Costa Coffee on Watford High Street this evening, sparking a police investigation.
Victim Airlifted to Hospital After Assault
The injured man was seen staggering to Queens Road around 4.50pm before emergency services airlifted him to hospital.
Police Seek Witnesses to Argument and Attack
Police say the stabbing followed an argument between the victim and a group of people outside the coffee shop, opposite the town’s shopping centre. It is believed the victim and suspects knew each other.
“It is believed he had an argument with a group of people immediately before he was assaulted,” police confirmed.
One witness commented, “My daughter and her dad witnessed this. The argument – although she is only 9.”
