The beloved hit TV show Waterloo Road has made an epic return, and the excitement is through the roof! One of the stars opened up about the shock and joy of landing a spot in the rebooted series.

“I never in a million years thought this was going to happen,” the actor revealed. After a mysterious call from the casting director, he met producer Cameron and found out Waterloo Road was coming back – a prospect that left him “over the moon.” With little acting since leaving Emmerdale four years ago, returning to the screen was like hopping back on a horse.
“It hadn’t been green-lit yet, so we had to wait. But once it was, I was just so happy to get back into it. It’s great to pick up where we left off.”
Fans Get Ready for the Best Series Yet
Dedicated fans, brace yourselves. The new series promises to be “bigger and better than ever,” and possibly the best yet. The actor got a sneak peek of episodes one and two and was left totally blown away.
“We watched it on the big screen with all the cast and crew. It was incredible. If you loved the old show, you’re definitely going to love this one.”

The actor says he shares plenty in common with Donte – hardworking and devoted – and working alongside his own son Teddy and niece Scarlett has made filming extra special.
“At first, I was thrilled they were on set – then Day Two they were fighting and Teddy was crying! But it’s all part of the fun. Scarlett was nervous at first but now she feels at home.”
Giving Niece Scarlett Some Straight Talking
When it comes to advice for his niece Scarlett, who plays his on-screen daughter Izzy, the actor is honest and playful.
“I told her, ‘Don’t do what I do.’ She was like, ‘I’ll just learn my lines now.’ And I said, ‘What do you mean now?’ So yeah, that’s my advice – don’t procrastinate like me!”
With support from her parents and uncle, Scarlett’s got the acting bug in the family – and fans can’t wait to see her shine.
