Man Charged with Murder After Elderly Man Found Dead in Holloway
Suspect in Court Over Shocking Holloway Killing
Sable Thomas, 42, of Dalmeny Road, N7, was charged with murder on Wednesday, 6 May. He faced Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court the same day and has been remanded in custody. Thomas is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 11 May.
Victim Found Collapsed with Head Injury
Police and ambulance were called to a Dalmeny Road property at around 7.20pm on Monday, 4 May. Officers discovered 80-year-old Anthony Rooks collapsed and suffering a head injury. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway
Next of kin have been informed, with formal identification now complete. A post mortem is scheduled for Thursday, 7 May, at Whittington Hospital as the probe continues.
