Heron’s string of break-ins kicked off on Monday 7 December. Police swooped after his arrest, uncovering a stash of stolen items at his property. Crucial evidence included footwear linking him to the crimes, alongside CCTV footage and DNA samples.
Businesses Take a Hit Amid Economic Woes
Detective Constable Claire Heatley of the Northwich Beat Team said, “Many independent businesses are struggling at the moment due to the economic downturn and high energy costs. The last thing they need is to be targeted by a prolific offender like Heron.”
“He stole over £4,500 worth of cash and goods and caused more than £3,000 in damages.”
“Thankfully, Heron is now behind bars and being held accountable. I hope this sentence brings closure to the business owners and reassures other local traders and residents.”
