Five Robbery Reports Shock Kent Town Centre

Kent Police were busy between 20 November and 2 December 2023, handling four robberies and one attempted robbery near a busy town centre. Victims walked away without wallets and mobile phones after being threatened with what police believe was a knife.

Stolen Bank Cards Used in Local Shops

Two of the stolen bank cards were quickly put to use in shops close to the scene. The bold blaggers clearly thought they could get away with it.

Two Teens Arrested and Charged

On 6 December, officers arrested 18-year-old Jayden Terry from Folkestone Road, Dover, and a 16-year-old boy from Gravesend. Both now face four counts of robbery, an attempted robbery, fraud, plus two charges of possessing a bladed article in public.

Additional Charge for Teen Linked to Elderly Attack

The 16-year-old has an extra charge: causing grievous bodily harm without intent. This relates to the assault of a pensioner on New Road, Gravesend, on 2 December.

Both suspects appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 8 December. They remain in custody ahead of their next court date at Maidstone Crown Court on 5 January 2024.
