Afghan Migrant Najeebullah Arab Pleads Guilty to Gruesome Sexual Attacks in Oxford
Two Horrific Attacks Just Six Days Apart
Najeebullah Arab, 39, pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court to kidnap, rape, and two counts of sexual assault.
His first victim, a woman in her late 20s, was followed from Cane Lane to Main Street in Grove on January 21, where he sexually assaulted her.
Just six days later, Arab struck again. While cycling down Grove Road, he approached a teenage girl, then brutally assaulted and raped her behind Mably Way.
Police Praise Victims for Bravery
Arab was arrested on January 30 and charged just two days later. He refused to confirm his ethnicity when in custody.
“Firstly, I want to acknowledge the victims in this case for the incredible courage they’ve shown in coming forward,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart May.
“Thames Valley Police take sexual offences extremely seriously, especially violent attacks on women and girls. We are committed to thorough investigations and standing by victims every step of the way.”
Sentencing Looms as Justice Nears
Detectives said the overwhelming evidence forced Arab’s guilty plea. He now awaits sentencing.
Thames Valley Police vow to keep protecting the public and bringing offenders like Arab to justice.
