Masked Man Stabs Soldier 12 Times Near Barracks

A shocking attack rocked Gillingham, Kent, when 24-year-old Anthony Esan was arrested for the brutal stabbing of a soldier near Brompton Barracks. Lieutenant Colonel Mark Teeton was slashed around 12 times by a masked assailant on Tuesday evening.

Suspect Caught Within 35 Minutes

Police quickly arrested Esan near his home in Rochester just 35 minutes after the horrific incident. He has been remanded in custody following a court appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court, charged with attempted murder. Lieutenant Colonel Teeton remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
