The alleged assault reportedly happened on 10 June 2025 inside Mousa’s barbershop. Prosecutor Brian Payne laid out the charges, while District Judge Meek warned Mousa about the consequences of missing his next court date.
“Because you have elected to have your trial at the crown court, your next hearing will be at Newcastle Crown Court. It’s in the same building, just upstairs. You will be bailed to attend there at 10am on 25 March. If you fail to attend, it’s likely a warrant will be issued for your arrest and an absconding charge could be laid against you. The case could also proceed in your absence. There is one condition on your bail and that is that you keep your address as a correspondence address.”
Mousa Out on Bail, Trial Looms
Now Mousa waits for the Crown Court hearing, out on bail but under strict conditions. The case continues to unfold at Newcastle Crown Court later this year.
