Two Teens Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing of 38-Year-Old Man in Llantwit Major
Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 38-year-old man was found fatally stabbed just before midnight on Monday in Llantwit Major. South Wales Police confirmed both suspects, locals from the town, were taken into custody overnight and remain under questioning.
Major Crime Scene Shuts Down Key Roads
A large police cordon blankets Barry Road and Court Road. Forensic tents and numerous police vehicles swarm the area as officers comb the scene. The stretch between the Tuck In Cafe and Davies Street is closed, causing local travel headaches and restricted access around the town.
Nearby, a primary school shut its doors for the day as a precaution. Police warn the scene will remain sealed off “for some time” as investigations continue.
Police Lead Urgent Murder Probe
Detective Superintendent Mark O’Shea, heading the investigation, said:
“This is a close-knit community who no doubt will be deeply shocked and saddened by what has taken place. There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days while teams of detectives and specialist staff work at pace to establish the circumstances.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
South Wales Police are urging anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has CCTV, dashcam, or phone footage to come forward without delay.
