Shock in New Forest: Two 14-year-old boys charged over horrific sexual assault at Fordingbridge park.
Teen Boys Face Serious Charges
Two boys, both just 14 from Fordingbridge, stand accused after a brutal sexual assault on a girl their own age at Fordingbridge Recreation Ground on Friday, 17 January. One faces a string of charges:
- Rape
- Threats to kill
- Possession of a knife blade or sharp article in public
- Kidnapping and false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence
The second boy is charged with rape, threats to kill, and kidnapping.
Youth Court Appearance and Ongoing Investigation
Both suspects are due in Southampton Youth Court this morning. Police were called at 10:41pm on Friday, though the assault reportedly happened earlier that evening.
A third boy, aged 13 from Romsey, was also arrested but released on conditional bail as inquiries continue.
Support for Victim and Police Appeal
The 14-year-old victim is receiving specialist support from trained officers while detectives work through the case.
