- Grey hair with a grey moustache and beard – though he may have shaved these off
- Sometimes wears dark-rimmed glasses and a flat cap
- Usually dressed in casual clothes
- Tattoo of ‘Mum and Dad’ with a swallow on his right forearm
- Horse’s head tattoo on left forearm
- Large scar running down the middle of his chest
