A Derby drug dealer has been locked up for four years after police caught him with heroin, crack cocaine, and a haul of cash.

Dealer Busted on City Centre Steps

Lenworth McLean, 44, was spotted by officers having a suspicious chat with a woman on steps near Derby city centre on 28 January. Police stopped him and found a wrap of cocaine in his car.

Big Drug Haul Found in Property Raid

A search at McLean’s Abbey Street property uncovered more suspected heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and over £7,000 in cash.

Dealer Caught Red-Handed and Confesses

McLean, who has no fixed address, admitted dealing drugs when questioned. He faced charges for supplying heroin and cocaine, possessing cannabis, and holding criminal property.

At Derby Crown Court on 26 February, he pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to four years behind bars. The court also confiscated £7,131.33 in cash.
