Three Arrested Over Brutal Kidnap and Murder in Loughton

Three men and a teenage boy have been charged following a shocking kidnap and murder case near Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate, Loughton. The victims were reported missing from Enfield, sparking a major police hunt before their grim discovery.

Suspects Named and Court Date Set

  • Erdogan Ulcay, 55, Oakeshott Avenue, Camden
  • Ali Kavak, 25, De Quincey Road, Tottenham
  • A 17-year-old boy, identity withheld due to age

All three have been charged with the kidnap of a woman and are set to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 20 October.

A fourth man, also 55, has been released on bail pending further enquiries until mid-November.

Victim Identified as Koray Alpergin, 43

Police discovered the body of Koray Alpergin, 43, near the industrial estate at 11:55 BST on Saturday, 15 October. He was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering severe trauma, according to a post-mortem report.

Metropolitan Police took over the investigation after initially working alongside Essex Police. Prior to the discovery, officers had been searching for Mr Alpergin and a 33-year-old woman who had been reported missing from Ebony Crescent, Enfield. Thankfully, the woman was found unharmed.

Ongoing Investigation and Support for Family

The pair were last seen the night before their disappearance, with police receiving the missing persons report at 13:51 BST on Friday, 14 October. Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command remain heavily involved, working closely with the victim’s family as forensic tests continue.
