Four Men Charged Over Surrey and Hampshire Ford Transit Motorhome Thefts

Police have arrested and charged four men in connection with a string of Ford Transit motorhome thefts across Surrey and Hampshire. The crime spree took place between 22 and 30 May 2024, prompting a swift police response.

Lehane Leads the Line in Theft Conspiracy

John Lehane, 51, from West Byfleet, faces charges of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles. He appeared at Guildford Remand Court on 1 June and is set for Lewes Crown Court on 28 June.

Three Other Men Also Face Charges

Alongside Lehane, three additional men have been charged with conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft during the same period:

  • John Doe, 45, of Woking
  • Cornelius Buckley, 34, of Woking
  • Joseph Wickens, 41, of Hailsham

They are due to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on 16 July.

Investigation Continues, Police Urge Public to Speak Up

The police investigation remains active, with authorities stressing that these are not believed to be gang-related incidents. Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiry.
