Isle of Wight Man Faces Trial Over 1970s Rape Allegation
Phillip Mingay Charged Over Historical Offence
Phillip Mingay, 56, from George Street, Ryde, is set to stand trial for raping a girl under 16. The alleged offence dates back to between January 1, 1977, and December 31, 1978.
Case Moved to Crown Court
The Isle of Wight Magistrates have transferred the case to the Crown Court, with a hearing scheduled for May 20. Mingay has been released on bail pending trial.
