A man has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was brutally stabbed in Timperley on Friday, 21 November 2025.

Adithya Ramamoorthy, a British Asian-Indian from Vale Road, Timperley, has been charged with section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon in public. The terrifying attack took place around 6.30pm on Stockport Road, close to Vale Road.
The young victim was walking with three friends, all aged 12, when he was stabbed with what police believe was a long tool or screwdriver. The boy suffered puncture wounds to his side and back. He was rushed to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment.
Man to Face Court Over Horrific Attack
Ramamoorthy is set to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday, 27 November 2025. Police are continuing their investigation into this chilling incident.
