Man Charged After Woman Stabbed in Shocking Incident
A 31-year-old man has been named and slapped with serious charges following a stabbing involving a woman linked to Swindon and Salisbury.
Woman Stabbed, Raises Alarm from Swindon Home
Emergency teams rushed to Pinehurst Road, Swindon, at around 9pm on Saturday, 7 February. Reports came in of a woman suffering knife wounds. She was treated for a stab wound to the hand at the scene.
Attack Actually Happened in Salisbury
It later emerged the stabbing took place in Salisbury. The injured woman managed to drag herself back home to Swindon before calling for help, raising serious concerns about her ordeal.
Suspect Arrested, Facing Serious Charges
- Michael Sheehan, 31, of Harnham Road, Salisbury, was arrested by Wiltshire Police.
- He has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and controlling and coercive behaviour.
- Sheehan was remanded in custody and will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday, 9 February.
